He passed away on June 1, 1996, south of El Reno, Oklahoma at the age of 21. Paul graduated Lookeba-Sickles High School in 1992. He was united in marriage to Catherine Dianne Thiessen on June 18, 1994 at Eakley, Oklahoma. Paul was employed at U.S. Express in Oklahoma City. Paul's hobbie included fishing, electronics, off roading, music and eating at Taco Bell. He was a member of the Sickles Community Church. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Lanier of the home, Colony, Oklahoma; daughter Candace Paige Lanier, of the home; parents Christi Lanier of Lookeba and Steve and Karen Lanier of Lookeba; 3 brothers, Nathan, Daniel and Matthew Lanier, all of Lookeba; grandparents, Bertha Lanier of Lookeba and Lloyd and Margie Martin of Crawford, Oklahoma; 1 step-brother, Anthony Morrie, Lookeba; mother and father-in-law, Larry and Paula Thiessen of Colonty; 1 brother-in-law, Cody Thiessen, Colony; and 1 sister-in-law, Christina Thiessen, Weatherford, Oklahoma. Paul was preceded in death by his grandfather, Buck Lanier. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesady, June 4, 1996 at the Sickles community Church, Lookeba, Oklahoma with Rev. Tom Clifton officiating. Burial was at the Sickles Cemetery, Lookeba, Oklahoma under the direction of the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Community Bank, 401 W.
