She passed away May 23, 2009 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years, 6 months and 23 days. Dixie grew up in Roger Mills County where she graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1959 and was active on the Student Council and Annual Staff. She was married to Ronald Joseph Leppert at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on June 12, 1964. They lived in League City, Texas before returning to Cheyenne to make their home in 1957. As a teenager she worked at the Rook Theatre and after they returned from Texas she later worked at the Cordell Mercantile and was a waitress for a number of years. She was a member of the Cheyenne United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Joe and Bessie Payne, paternal grandparents, Austin and Cordelia Musick and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Leppert, of the home and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Cheyenne United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Greg Keith and Paul Ray Yowell giving the eulogy. Burial will be at Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Srvice.
