Funeral services were set for Monday, January 20, 1986, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sayre United Methodist Church with Joe Perry officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Home of Sayre. Mary Esther Marriott was born November 18, 1901 in McKinney, Texas. She moved with her parents, and homesteaded north of Sweetwater, Oklahoma. On January 25, 1920 she was married to Emmitt E. McCullough at Elk City. After thei marriage they lived on a farm near Elk City and later moved to Reydon. In 1943 they moved to Sayre, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Sayre Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and three brothers. Survivors are: two daughters, Mildred Warner, Sayre, Oklahoma; Oleta Yagi, of Brigham City, Utah; one son, Alfred McCullough, of Borger, Texas; four grandsons, three great grandchildren; two brothers, Leon Marriott, Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Orval Marriott, Elk City, Oklahoma; two sisters: Eula Thornton, Erick, Oklahoma and Jewel Carter, Tucumcari, New Mexico.
