McClellan. He passed away January 5, 2003 in the Cheyenne Care Center, Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 25 days. Russell graduated from Strong City High School and was married to Nellie Clara Archer at Strong City, Oklahoma on July 1, 1933. They lived between Strrong City and Hammon before moving to Colorado and Texas. They returned to Roll, Oklahoma in 1944 and later to Cheyenne in 1982 to make their home. Russell farmed and worked as a carpenter with Hoover Jones. He worked ffor the Cheyenne Lumber Company for a number of years before he retired due to ill health. He was an avid sportsmen and loved to play baseball in his younger days and later he could be seen on the golf course. Russell will always be remembered for his keen humor and wit. He was a member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 6 brothers. Services were held Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at 2: 00 p.m. at Cheyenne Baptist Church, officiated by Fred King and Terry Beals. Burial was hald at the Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Survivors include, wife, Nellie Clara of the home; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Bob Cannon of Crawford, Oklahoma, and Roselea and Harold Lovell of Crescent, Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; host of other relatives and friends.
