The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Stell Jess McLean, son of Clyde and Kizzie McLean was born in Roger Mills County near Leedey, Oklahoma on November 10, 1919 and departed this life at his home in Leedey on June 21, 2000. He was 80 years, six months and 11 days at his passing. On December 13, 1939 Still was united in marriage to Lorena B. Swank at Woodward, Oklahoma, and they established their first home fifteen miles west of Leedey. Two children, Tylane and Lana were born to this union. Throughout his life Stell appreciated a good horse, fat Hereford cattle, and lush green grass. He always worried about the well being of his family and friends. Those of Stell's family who preceded him in death were his parents; his older sister, Donia Jose; his twin sister, Nell Smith; his brother, Clyde McLean, Jr.; and an infant brother. Those who remain to cherish Stell's memory are his devoted wife, Lorena; his daughter and son-in-law, Tylane and John McCracken of Leedey; and his daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Steve Carpenter, of Tecumseh; and two grandson s, Stell Tipton McCracken of Choctaw, and Colby McLean Carpenter, of Tecumseh; along with other close and dear relatives and dear friends.
