V.A. Jones and Rev. E.T. Cooprider, officiating. Mr. Macklin was born December 16, 1906 at Berlin, Oklahoma. He was married to Ova Irene Bowers at Cheyenne, Oklahoma December 23, 1923. They moved to Sayre in 1933 where he was assistant manager of the Sayre C.R. Anthony Store for five years. In January, 1948, he became manager of the Anthony Store at Weatherford, Oklahoma. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge, the Kiwanis club and the Junior Chamber of Commerce. One brother preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ova Irene Macklin of Weatherford; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Davis, Sweetwater; hisz parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Macklin, Berlin; five sisters, Mrs. Raymond Schwer, Mrs. Richard Hartman and Mrs. T.R. Evans, all of Sayre, Mrs. Frank Stewart of Byron, Oklahoma; three brothers, Percy of Mayfiled, Vernon of Sayre, and Raymond of Cheyenne. Committal was in the Sayre-Doxey cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma with the I.O.O.F. Lodge in charge of the graveside rites.
