Mrs. McClain, the wife of Newton McClain deceased, came to Berlin with their family twenty four years ago being among thew very first settlers in this section of the country. She was widely known by all the old-timers in the county. Her husband died several years ago and in recent years she has been living with her children. She was one who helped to bear the hardships and toil of a new country and to make possible a livihood in what is now our wonderful country. She is spoken of by those who kneww her as a noble and consecrated woman, one who loved home and God alike. The funeral last Sunday was attended by several Sayre and Elk City people.
