McMurtry Funeral services for William T. McMurtry, 72, 1821 West Avenue A, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Martin Funeral home chapel with Rev. Alfred Webb, Bristow, and Rev. Clyde Denny, Roll, officiating. Burial was in Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Mr. McMurtry died Monday August 21, 1967 in an Elk City hospital. He was born August 25, 1894, in Cheyenne and was married to Winifred Hubbard on December 23, 1935, in Sayre. A farmer, he lived in the Cheyenne area until 1958 when he retired. He moved to Elk City about 2 1/2 years ago. He was a World War I veteran. Surviving are his wife, of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Leary, of Reydon, and Mrs. Mary Coward, of Wewoka, and one brother, Henderson, of Walsh, Colorado. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
