Obit for James Lon Mitchell

James Lon Mitchell was born January 11, 1876, at Boliver, Missouri, and 
departed this life June 27, 1963 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma, at the age of 87 years, 
5 months and 26 days.

On May 4, 1904, he was married to Ethel Maude Moye and to this union were born 
9 children.

His early life was spent in West Texas as a rancher coming to Oklahoma in 1925, 
of which most of that time has been in the Cheyenne and Crawford communities.  
He joined the Methodist church early in life.

Survivors include 4 sons; J.D., Bill, John, and George; 4 daughters; 
Marjorie King, Allene Penrod, Marilena Fritch and Kathryn Talley, also 20 
grandchildren, his wife and daughter, Betty Jo Baker, preceded him in death.

Burial Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
