Malloy, 82, of Pryor, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Forrest Jackson and Dr. Wendell Lang officiated. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery at Pryor under the direction of the Kay Funeral Home of Pryor, Oklahoma. Mr. Malloy was born May 6, 1911, in Ellis County to Daniel Albertus and Adah Grace Allington Malloy. He died Saturday, May 8, 1993, in Tulsa. He and his family moved to Leedey in 1917, where he grew up and attended school. He was graduated from Leedey High School in 1930. He was in the Civilian Conservation Camp from 1934 to 1939 when he started work in the Soil Conservation Service. He was married to Mary Clare Chatham on June 30, 1935, at Lookeba. In his work with the soil conservation, he worked primarily in the southwestern part of Oklahoma, including Clinton, Elk City, Sentinel, Altus, Anadarko and Medford. He moved to Pryor in 1948, where he worked until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pryor Lions Club and The National Association of Civilian Conservation Corp Alumni in Virginia. Survivors include his wife, Mary Malloy of the home; three sons Daniel R. Malloy of Sacramento, California, Alan L. Malloy of Roanoke, Virginia, Lelan J. Malloy of Pryor; one sister Glayds Foster of Fairview; one brother Neil J. Malloy of Jqackson, Georgia; nine grandchildren, and great grandson. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Malloy; two brothers and one sister. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Pryor building fund.
