Sketchley and Saide Craft Sketchley. She departed this life on June 10, 1985 at Redlands, California. Fern had been raised in the Moorewood area and attended and graduated from the Hammon Public Schools. She attended Southwestern State University and had taught school in the Hammon area before marrying Roy W. Mills. They moved to San Bernardino, California about 1928, where she and her husband were engage in the grocery business until Roy's ill health forced them to retire. Roy preceded her in death in September 1960. Fern returned to Oklahoma in 1971 and worked as cashier for Hyman's Conoco Travel Shoppe at Clinton until 1973 when she returned to Redlands, California to live with her daughter. Survivors include her daughter Janet Wimsett; 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, all of Redlands, California, a twin sister, Mrs. Cecil (Flossie) Vignal of Hammon; other sisters Mrs. Frank (Clara) Eaton of Weatherford; Jo Sketchley and Lettie Femple both of Mansfield, Texas several nieces and nephews. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. june 14, 1985 at the F. Arhtur Cortner Chapel in Redlands, California, with interment in Hermosa Cemetery, Colton, California.
