She died Febrary 7, 2003 at Cox Medical Center South in Springrfield, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Mills enjoyed her family, gardening, making quilts and visiting shut-ins. She blessed many lives by her singing and piano playing. She married Edward Leroy Mills Sr., April 4, 1941. The lived most of their married life in their home north of Springfield. He preceded her in death in 1988. She is survived by her nine children and their spouses, Linda and Mike Kahoa, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Janice and Melvin Williams, Strafford, Missouri; Rosa and Charles Robbins, Ongo, Missouri; Rachel and Ray Forrester, Springfield, Missouri; Tim Mills, New Haven, CT; Edward Jr and Julia Mills, Mikell and Nancy Mills, Daniel and Julie Mills and Brian and Patti Mills,all of Springfield; a brother, Jesse Jr. and his wife, Velma Bowen, Nixa, Missouri; a sister, Francesz Unruh, Springfield, 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren,. numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren, laine Williams, Anna Mills and an infant. Funeral services were February 10, 2003 at the Bearan Baptist Church in Springrfield.
