He passed away October 10, 2000 in Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years and 23 days. Everett grew up in the Rankin/Reydon community and attended school there. He was married to Creda Barker at Cheyenne, Oklahoma on December 7, 1938, and they moved to Sunny Point and later to Sweetwater, in 1949 they bough a farm near Texola where they made their home. Everett was a hard working man and was active in the community. He had served on the Erick School Board for ten years and also served as a Board Member of the Erick Farmers Co-Op for several years. He attended the Texola Baptist Church. His parents and one grandson, Craig Crawford, preceded him in death. His survivors include his wife Creola of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Randy Valdez, Tuttle, Oklahoma; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and lois Miller, and Danny and Tonya Miller, Erick, Oklahoma, and Vick and Barbara miller, Sayre, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Justin Miller, Robin Hargrove, Joe Miller, Reney Pittman, Shanna Shook, Don Miller, Scott Valdez, MeLisa Peters, Heidi Brown, and Mat Miller; three great grandchildren; three borhters, Leo Miller, Leonard miller and Ray Miller, all of Iowas; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held October 13, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the Texola Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Charlie Floyd. Burial was at Texola Cemetery under the direction of Fatheree-Albert Funeral Home.
