Services were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 1998 at the First Baptist Church in Allison with Rev. Jim Powell, Pastor First Baptist Church in Howardwick, Rev. Mike Dyer, Sayre, Oklahoma and Rev. Bob Meller, Pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Zybach Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mr. Miller was born on August 24, 1927 at Joliet, Illinois to Arnold Edward Miller Sr. and Sadie Rae Wells. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a cook at Boyrs Ranch and Wheeler Care Center. He came to Wheeler in 1980, then moved to Howardwick in 1992. Mr. Miller was a member of the Masonic Lodge and First Baptist Church of Howardwick. He is survived by hiswife Frankie of Howardwick; 2 daughters Peggy Murphy of Gorman, Texas and Wanda Miller of Tyler, Texas; 1 sister Marilyn Ensign of Whichita, Kansas; 2 brothers Ted Polk of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Thomas Glen Polk of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren Shelly Schubert, Edward White, Michael Atherton, William Heinz, 4 great grandchildren.
