She was educated in the Manila, Iowa school and also taught school for three terms. On April 5, 1893 she was married to Emery V. Miller and to this union five children were born, two sons preceding her in death. She came to the Reydon community with her husband in 1903 where they made their home until her death. Susan was a member of the Christian Church and lived a true Christian life. She is survived by her husband, E.V. Miller of the home address one daughter Mrs. Margie Clay and two sons, Lester V. Miller and Vernal Miller, all of Reydon, and one sister, Mrs. Jim Eagan of Hamlin, Iowa. She also leaves nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services were held Friday, April 9, 1948 from the Community Building at Reydon, Oklahoma, with Rev. Horace Woodard officiating. The Fatheree Funeral Home of Erick was in charge of arrangements and interment was in the White Rose cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Susan K. Miller was a noble character and passsed to the rest who could ever find time to take in life. Her life is indelibly written in the history of Roger Mills County. Mr. and Mrs. Miller celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 4th when all members of the family were at home. A song, "Life's Thoughts" which Mrs. Miller composed, was sung at her funeral by Mrs. G.L. Martin and Mrs. N.H. Thurman. Out-of-town relatives attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Murrel Miller of Lawndale, California, Miss Hazel Miller of Guthrie Center, Iowa, Ernesr Miller of Friend, Nebraska, Miss Grace Miller of Minneapolic, Minn, and Miss Susia Reynolds of Longg Beach, California.
