He passed away May 16, 2002 in the integris Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years 4 months and 5 days. Earl married Fannye Sullivan in Jay, Ok and they made their home in Cheyenne. He served his country with the U.S. Army and was a member of the Cheyenne VFW. He was preceded in death by mother, wife, Fanney and one brother. Graveside services were held Saturday, May 25, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma officiated by Rev. Fred King. Arrangementsz are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Survivors include: two sons Earl Mallard Jr. of Guymon, OK, James Sullivan of Cheyenne, OK; one daughter, Nina of Texas; his father, Clyde Mallard, of Grove, OK; two brothers, Danny Mallard of Las Vegas, NV, Denny Mallard of Cheyenne, OK; one sister Delores Evans of Guymon, OK; nine grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
