She was the daughter of George A. Logan and Mary Anna Murphy Logan. Mrs. Moore passed from this life on Sunday, June 2, 1991, in the Lackey Nursing Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of ninety-three years, eleven months and three days. When Nettie May was nine years of age, she moved with her parents to a farm in the Rhea Community near Leedey. Five years later, 1911, the Logan family moved to Leedey, where their home was established and where, through the many years, the family has contirbuted to the life and advancement of Leedey and its surrounding area. Nettie May began her school years in Syracuse, Missouri. After moving to Oklahoma, she attended the Rhea School then completed her High School work in Leedey. She received her College education in Southwestern State College at Weatherford, now Southwestern Oklahoma State University. On June 28, 1915, Nettie May Logan and B.D. Moore were united in marriage at Mangum, Oklahoma. The home was established in Leedey and in this town and vicinity, Mrs. Moore has resided these many years. She spent one year teaching in the Plesant Hill School and also one year in the Leedey School System, then she became an employee of the Smith Hardware where she worked for nine years. She also spent time working in several other business places in Leedey where her help was needed and deeply appreciated, an employee whose efficiency and kind helpful manner endeared her to all who knew her. In 1910, at the age of fourteen years, Nettie May made her Christian Commitment of Faith in the Lord and became a member of the Rhea Baptist Church. Sometime later, when the Leedey Baptist6 Church was established, she was one of its Charter members. Through these many years of the life of the Church, she has served it in many ways, including Secretary, Treasurer, and Sunday School Teacher, a helper and dedicated member. Nettie May Moore was the loving and appreciated aunt of a host of nieces and nephews, serving and loving them in many special ways. One special grand- niece, Frankie McPherson, made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Moore for four very happy years of her life. Mrs. Moore enjoyed traveling, fishing, and gardening, and was a special hand with her Poultry. She was a loving wife, aunt and sister, who leaves many who cherished and appreciated her life of good works, and her kind heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Logan, her husband, B.D. Moore; four brothers, John Logan, James Logan, P.D. Logan and D.E. Logan; four sisters, Mrs. R.V. Sapp, Mrs. C.R. Flint, Mrs. J.C. Sapp[, and Mrs. J.C. Webber, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services for Nettie May Moore were held Wedensday, June 5, 1991 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Leedey, Oklahoma, with Sam Dyer, Pastor, officiating. Interment followed in the Rhea Cemetery, Leedey, Oklahoma, under the arrangements of Shaw Funeral Home, Leedey, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
