Alvin was one of the last remaining persons who, in the teens and twenties, helped to shape this area. He was an officer in the Army during World War I. He taught school in Roger Mills County for a few years. He also worked on the construction of the California Rail Road from Strong City to Cheyenne. For many years Alvin practiced law in Cheyenne. Much of the time as a partner of the late W.W. Peterson. He served many years as a state senator. Alvin was the one who was responisble for having the Pack Saddle Bridge built. The bridge was completed in 1929. In 1927 he was Grand Marshall of the Old Settlers Parade. In 1933 Mr. Moore moved to practice law in Elk City. Later he moved his pratice to Phoenix and resided there until the time of death. During this time Alvin never missed returning for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Celebration. He always enjoyed visiting with his friends. Surviving Mr. Moore is his wife, Flora and one daughter Floretta McClellan. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
