Burial was in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma by the side of her husband. Mrs. Jess Moore was a pioneer of Cheyenne and resided here until a few years ago when she moved to Elk City. Emma Octava Ewing, the daughter of Rev. and S.E. Ewing was born October 20, 1867 in Alabama. She was married September 25, 1889 to Jesse T. Moore at New Madrid, Missouri and who preceded her in death December 11, 1942. She united with the Methodist church at an early age and was a member of the Elk City Methodist church at the time of her dedath. She was also a member of the Evening Star Rebekah Lodge of Cheyenne. Mrs. Moore moved to Mountain View, Oklahoma in 1899 from Texas. Homesteading in Roger Mills County in 1900. She lived near Cheyenne until 1935 when she moved to Elk City where she lived until her death December 17, 1944. Surviving are sons: Major Alvin Moore, U.S. Army, Southwest Pacific; Welton Moore, Portland, Oregon; and Mrs. Mildred Unger, Elk City. Five grand children and two great grand children also survive. One son preceded her in death.
