She passed away September 21, 2006 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 50 years, 7 months and 10 days. Nancy was born and raised in Oklahoma and considered herself a bona fide "Okie". She was often described as "happy-go-lucky, caring and always present to those in need, but most importantly she was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. Nancy was active in the Oklahoma community through volunteerism and continual support of those around her. Her kindness dedication and love will be deeply missed. She was a Geological Technician for over 20 years, holding positions at Arrington Oil and was recruited 2 years ago by Devon Energy returning her to her home state. She was preceded in death by her mother Pauline. She is survived by her 2 sons, J. Steven Moore, North Little Rock, AR and Patrick W. Moore, Houston, Texas; father, Melvin Parkhurst, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Mira Burrows, Altus, Oklahoma, Linda Pruitt, Elk City, Oklahoma, Joanne Andrews and husband Jerry; 2 brothers, James and Leslie Walton, both of Edmond, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Private family services were held under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service.
