Myers Roy L. Myers was born February 2, 1916, at Milo, Oklahoma. He was the son of George W. and Betty Jane Myers. He passed away at his home in Cheyenne on December 16, 1961 at the age of 45 years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist church at Pampa, Texas. He served in the infantry during the 2nd World War and received 2 Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart, and World War II Victory medal for combat in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theater of Operations. He was united in marriage to Jewell Cline, October 16, 1937 at Clovis, New Mexico. To this union were born two sons, Gene Paul and Danny Lee. Besides his wife and sons, he has 5 sisters, Mrs. Clyde Muncy, Cridley, California, Mrs. Wade Jorden, Colusa, California, Mrs. Edd Reed, Strong City, Oklahoma, Mrs. V.R. Coon, Perryton, Texas, Mrs. Rose Warren, Knox City, Texas; three brothers, Luther Myers of Slaten, Texas; Clarence of Enid, Oklahoma, Ernie Myers of Longview, Texas, and other relatives and friends, who are left to mourn his passing.
