He moved with his parents to Cheyenne, Oklahoma in 1892, where he attended early schools. He was baptized into the Church of Christ, at the age of 21 years, by his father, W.C. Morris, who was a pioneer minster of the Church of Christ in the Cheyenne-Arapaho country. He remained faithful to the Church of the New Testament until the end. Ezra was married to Minnie Lee Martin April 13, 1907 at Cheyenne. To this union were born three girls and five boys three of whom preceded him in death. Brother Morris lived with his family in or near Cheyenne practically all his life where he made many life long friends. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his ___________(can't read) even while he suffered his long illness. His spirit returned to God who gave it Monday morning, Ocober 16, 1944, at the age of 60 years, four months and 29 days. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Minnied; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Carl of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Murray Churchill of St. Louis, Missouri; three sons, Paul Morris of Tulsa, Oklahoma, John H. Morris, who is with the U.S. Navy in the Southwest Pacific and Clifford Morris of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one brother, Emmitt Morris of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; four sisters, Mrs. Gessie Ratliff of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. John Salyer of San Bernadina, California, Mrs. Onie Johnson of Canadian, Texas, and Mrs. Lee Andrerson of Glazier, Texas; eight grandchildren; with many other relatives and friends. He will be laid to rest in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
