She passed away January 13, 2006 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years, 4 months and 27 days. Mary attended grade school at Croton and Mt. Rose before graduating from Cheyenne High School in 1931. On November 18, 1932 she was married to George Miller Myers at Arapaho, Oklahoma. She and George were converted in 1937 and baptized in West Croton Creek. They lived on the homestead west of Cheyenne where they farmed until 1957 when George's health began to fail and they moved into Cheyenne to make their home. George passed away in 1978 after a lengthy illness Mary helped establish the TV system in the First Baptist Church of Cheyenne. She also bought gym equipment for the Cheyenne School and contributed to the Cheyenne Senior Citizens Building and several other projects and contributions. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 1 sister Effie Bauman. Survivors include her nieces, Sandy Hatfield, Shamrock, Texas, and Thurman Jean Stone, Edmond, Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held Monday, January 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma officiated by Eddie Tom Lakey. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Home.
