He had lived in Reydon the past 15 years. He was married to Dovie A. Marlett, December 24, 1901, who preceded him in death. To this union two boys and five girls were born. He married Mrs. Alice Jones of Sweetwater, January 3, 1931 and to this union two sons and a daughter were born. One son passed away in 1946. Mr. Myers was a member of thew Church of Christ. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Alice Myers, six daughters, Mrs. W.E. Turner, Mrs. Wealthy Purvis, Miss Maggie Myers and Walter J. Myers of Corning, California, Mrs. D.M. Bynum of Pampa, Texas, Mrs. Ruby Sutton and Dee A. Myers of Mayfield, Mrs. Robert Mabra, Reydon and Franklin D. Myers of the home and one step-son Walter J. Jones of Fort Ord, California. He also leaves three sisters and two brothers who are Mrs. James Burden of Sayre, Mrs George Topper of Wheeler, Texas, Mrs. Robert Hughes of Pampa, Texas, Marion Myers of McAlester and Frank Myers of Sweetwater. He also leaves 18 greandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, April 12, 1948 at the community building in Reydon. Burial was in Fairlawn cemetery in Elk City, Oklahoma.
