Ruby Merritt was born August 29, 1924 in Strong City, Oklahoma and passed 
away March 1, 1991 in Grove, Oklahoma.  Ruby was the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. Elbert Townsley.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth; her parents; 1 sister Amy 
and 1 brother Floyd Townsley of California.

She is survived by 1 son, John Merritt of Tulsa, oklahoma; 1 daughter, 
Janice Bryant of Jay, Oklahoma; 2 granddaughters Becky and Rish and husband 
of Jay, Oklahoma; and 2 great granddaughters.  Also 2 sisters, Jaunita 
merritt of Roll, Oklahoma and Euoolis Blundell of Perryton, Texas and a host 
of other relatives and friends.

Ruby grew up in the Roll and Crawford communities.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 1991 at Zena Baptist Church, Grove, 
Oklahoma.

Preaching was Rev. Ken Overture.
