Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery, Hammon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma underr the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Nora Lee Murdock was born on May 31, 1910 in the Kiowa Community of Roger Mills County, Oklahoma to John Milton and Mattie Jane Boulware Linville and passed away on Monday, October 11, 2004 in Bell Avenue Nursing Center at the age of 94. Nora was the last surviving member of her family, whichj included 11 children that consisted of 5 girls and 6 boys. She grew up in the Kiowa Community where she attended Kiowa Community School and graduated from Hammon High School; she then attended and completed Cosmetology School in Oklahoma City. Nora was married to Lloyd William Murdock on December 11, 1937 in Enid, Oklahoma. She worked as a cosmelogist in Cheyenne and Buffalo, but spent most of her life in Hammon where she operated her own business in connection with the raising of her family. Nora moved to Elk City in 1978 and continued her career until the age of 86. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Hammon and has been a member of the Fairview Baptist Church since moving to Elk City. Nora enjoyed her family and was very devoted to them. Some of her past times included ceramics, crocheting, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, an brothers, and sisters, and several nieces, and nephews. Survivors include one daughter; Linville Murdock of Weatherford, Oklahoma; 2 sons, Joohn Milton Murdock of Dallas, Texas; and Lloyd Murdock. Jr of Princeton, Kentucky; 2 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren; one special niece, Mary Flick Hibler; and one special nephew, Elmer Linville; and numerous close nieces, nephews, and ither relatives and friends.
