The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Virginia Juanita Martin was born May 31, 1908 to J.C. and Viola Esther Weeks Hayden in Winters, Texas and died April 28, 1995 in Seattle, Washington at the age of 86 years, 11 months. Juanita came to Strong City, Oklahoma from Texas in 1926 with her parents and brothers and sisters all of whom have preceded her in death. On November 7, 1934 she was married to R.T. "Rounder" Martin of Dempsey. They had two children, R.T. "Pepper" and Esther Claudette. Pepper preceded his mother in death on November 1, 1953 at the age of 18. Rounder preceded her in death in 1984. She moved to Seattle in 1991 to be with Claudette and her family. Juanita had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of the Methodist Church. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Claudette and Bill Dowdell, Edmonds, Washington, 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. nieces and nephew of this area; include: Kenneth Hay, Strong City; Mickie Kendall Shelton, Cheyenne, Vernell Hayden Williams, Berlin; and Lauretta Goode Hardwick, Burns Flat, Oklahoma Services are pending with burial to be in Edmonds, Wadshington.
