Scott, Not Injured Seriously. Two Cheyenne men were killed when the car in which they were riding missed a bridge on Highway 41 north of Dill City in Beckham County. The two were Clarence D. (Fat) Martin and Oscar Smith. George Scott who resides near Cheyenne; the only other occupant of the car escaped serious injuries. Martin, who was driving the car was killed instantly. Smith died in an Elk City hospital a few hours after the accident which occurred about eleven o'clock Tuesday evening. According to information a tire blew out causing Martin to lose control of the car. The car missed the bridge, jumped the creek and landed on the other side completely wrecking the car. Clarence Martin was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Martin of Cheyenne, and had resided in Cheyenne practically all of his life. He was one of the owners of the Cheyenne Recreation Parlor. Oscar Smith, a former resident of the Durham community had recently moved to Cheyenne. Funeral arrangements for the deceased men have not been announced.
