Martin, 76, a retired farmer of Roger Mills county, was held Friday at 3 p.m. in the Methodist church in Davis, Oklahoma. Casket bearers at the funeral services were his seven grandsons, James, Bobby, Foster and Jackie Mogg, Harry and Allen Rowe, and Tommy Lee Fox. Martin died Wednesday in his home from injuries suffered in a car accident in January. Born in Limestone county, Texas he had been a resident of Davis for a few months, moving here from Reydon, where he had lived 21 years. He was a member of the Reydon Methodist Church. He was married to Miss Mollie Roberts at Foster, Indian Territory in 1898. To this union two children were born, she and one child preceded him in death. In 1902 he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Lovella Rankin at Foster, Indian Territory. To this union 11 children were born. Four preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Carrie, of the home; five daughters, Mrs. M.A. Rowe, Henryetta; Mrs. Jake Mogg, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Mrs. Bruce Conrad, Chula Vista, California; Mrs. D.O. Houston, Fort Sumpter, New Mexico and Mrs. Jack Fox of Davis, Oklahoma; three sons W.T. of Chula Vista, California and Roy and Billy Joe of the home address. He leaves four brothers, Bud Martin and Joe Martin of Davis, Edd Dodson of Allen, Oklahoma and one sister, Mrs. R.E. Vandagriff of Purcell, Oklahoma. He leaves fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Friends from Reydon who went to Davis to attend the funeral services include Mrs. Edna Owen and Marion, Mrs. Orville Conrad and June, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hall, Mrs. T.A. Gilbert, Mrs. Willa Carter, Hugo and Ralph, Mrs. Bess Hooper, Betty Cline, Alex Inman, T.B. Inman and R.L. Felter.
