He passed away April 22, 2008 at Erick, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years, 2 months and 4 days. Alvin grew up in the Berlin and Grimes communities. Alvin served his country during World War II in the European Theater. After his discharge he worked around western Oklahoma and various states as a carpenter. After he retired from construction he farmed in the Berlin Community. He was married to Virgie Webster at Erick, Oklahoma on January 4, 1986 and they continued to live in Erick to make their home. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Virgie, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters. Survivors include his son Clifford Marshall and wife, LaDonna, of Cyril, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Leisha Saber, of Cyril, Oklahoma and Misty Rains, of Cyril, Oklahoma; 3 great grandchildren Asia, Corbin and Chloe; 3 sisters Jewell Barnes, of Wichita, Kansas, Rena Dovell of Sayre, Oklahoma, and Elouise Marshall; 2 brothers Lonnie Marshall, of Elk City, Oklahoma and Deanie Marshall, of Hobart, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Friday, April 25, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Chapel officiated by Doug Graham. Burial was held at the Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
