He was born March 5, 1887 at Jacksboro, Texas and was married August 18, 1912 to Martha Jane Fender, who survives him. They came to Berlin, Oklahoma shortly thereafter where he had since reside. He was a member of the Baptist church. Other survivors include: Sons: John Allen McDaniel, Elk City, Pvt. Walter L. McDaniel, Camp Buckley, Colorado and Ervin and Claude of the home address. Daughters: Mrs. Alice May Frishri and Mrs. Bernice Beam, Elk City, Mrs. Mary Griffin, Ponca City and Ula May and Mamie Ruth of the home address. A brother, Joseph Allen McDaniel, Flagstaff, Arizona also survives, as well as eight grandchildren. Three children have preceded him in death.
