McGlothlin was born March 25, 1919 in Crawford, Oklahoma to Letha and Roy McGlothlin. He went home to meet the Lord on May 17, 2010 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years. He was married to the love of his life, Virginia Sadler McGlothlin at Granite, Oklahoma in the spring of 1946. After Virginia's death in 1984, he later married Rube McGlothlin of Clinton, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army during World War II. After coming home, he then married Virginia and they made their home in Durham, Oklahoma. He made a living farming and ranching, which enabled him to provide home-grown fruit and vegetables to area grocers. Later in life he became a fuel inspector for the State of Oklahoma, but continued working his gardens and orchards, which was his true love. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He truly enjoyed spending time in his garden, even when he was chasing deer out of it. Oran was an extremely kind and loving Daddy, Papaw, and friend to so many. He committed his life to God, his family and friends. His compassion, silent strength, unconditional love and gardening knowlege will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, 1 son, Billy McGlothlin and wife, Cherryle, a son-in-law, Henry McBrayer, 1 sister, Thelma Redden, and 1 brother Tommy McGlothlin. He is survived by his daughter, Ruby McBrayer of Burleson, Texas, 1 son, Larry McGlothlin and wife, Sabra of Durham, Oklahoma. Nine Grandchildren, which include: Kelah Watson and husband, Doug of Durham, Oklahoma, Marla York and husband, Kevin of Bella Vista, AR, Sony Smith and husband, Justin of Sentinel, Oklahoma, Mandi McBrayer Ellison and husband, Scotty of Hollis, Oklahoma, Rindie Hunt and husband, Scott of El Reno, Oklahoma, Matthews McBrayer and wife, Ashley of Krum, Texas, Monte McGlothlin and wife, Cassie of Crawford, Oklahoma, Michael J. McBrayer and wife, Cassidy of Crisco, Texas, Kiley McGlothlin and wife Tricia of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and 19 great grandchildren, Jessica, Kuley, Damien, Logan, Meleri, Makylah, McKenna, Jesse, Haylee, Piper, Kaden, Josie, Cord, Tristan, Clay, Kallan, Cambree, Grayci and Easton. Services were held Friday, May 21, 2010 ar 2:00 pm at Crawford School officiated by Darrell Moore. Burial followed at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
