He lost his seven year battle to cancer on December 10, 2007 at 1:57 p.m. in the Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was married to Cheryl Diane Townsend on August 14, at the Church of Christ in White Deer, Texas. They made their loving home in and around the Cheyenne, Oklahoma area for more than 30 years. Billy enjoyed spending time with his seven young grand kids, woodworking, hunting and fishing. He was happiest when he was around friends and family playing games and visiting. He was always willing to do anything for anybody and he never complained about hard work. He was preceded in death by his mother and his wife of 35 years, Cheryl (Townsend) McGlothlin. Survivors by his 4 children, Kelah Gibson and husband, Cory, Durham, Oklahoma; Marla York and husband, Kevin, Bella Vista, Arkansas; Rindie Hunt and husband, Scott, El Reno, Oklahoma; and Kiley McGlothlin and wife, Tricia, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Daniel and Jesse Gibson, Meleri and Kaden York, Makylah and Haylene Hunt, and Cord McGlothlin, his father, Oren McGlothlin, Durham, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Larry McGlothlin and wife, Sabra, Durham, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Ruby McBray and husband, Henry, Burleson, Texas; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Interment in Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma.
