Burial will be in the German cemetery in the Sweetwater community by the Hullum-Wells FuneralHome. Mr. Myers is survived by three sons, Albert of Reydon, Marion of McAlester and Frank of Sayre; three daughters, Mrs. Jim Burden of Sayre, Mrs. George Topper and Mrs. Robert Hughes of Sweetwater; 33 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death 12 years ago. Myers came to this vicinity from Texas 39 years ago. For the past two years he had been living with Mr. and Mrs. Burden. Sayre Sun, Sayre, OK 28-Dec-1939 John Henry Myers, son of John and Margarette Elizabeth Myers, was born December 20, 1846, at Vernon, MO., and departed this life December 26, 1939, at the age of 93 years and 6 days. He confessed Christ and joined the Christian church at the age of 34 years. He was married to Nancy Ann Pipkin December 22, 1878 in Montague county, Texas. To this union were born eight sons and three daughters. His wife and five sons preceded him in death. Daughters are: Mrs. Jim Burden, Sayre, Okla; Mrs. George Topper, Sweetwater, Okla.; and Mrs. Bob Hougher, Sweetwater, Okla. Sons are: Albert Myers, Reydon, Okla.; Marion Myers, McAlester, Okla.; and Frank Myers, Sayre, Okla. He also leaves 38 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his departure.
