He died on February 22, 2001 following a heart attack in his Vici, Oklahoma home. Carl was 65 years and 11 days of age at the time of his passing. The first 10 years of Carl's life were spent in Strong City. He moved with his parents to Crawford in 1946 where he attended the remainder of his school years. It was also at the age of 10 that Carl was baptized and became a member of the Crawford Baptist Church. On August 26, 1955, Carl and Myra Glee Ladd were united in marriage at Sayre, Oklahoma. Two sons and two daughters would bless their union. Their first year of marriage was spent in Borger, Texas before moving near Amarillo where Carl was employed by the Pantex Carbon Black Palnt. They then moved to Spearman where Carl was a foreman in the company. In 1960, they moved back to Oklahoma where Carl worked in the oilfield as a driller. They have spent the last 35 years in Vici. During his years in Vici, Carl enjoyed farming and raising cattle as a sideline to his work in the oil industry. He was also a competent carpenter and enjoyed doing that work for his family and friends. He was an attentive husband, father and grandfather who shared his love for fishing with his family and especially enjoyed being "outfished" by the ladies of the family. Myra's uncle Dean Ladd was also a special fishing buddy. "Mechanicing" was another love of Carl's that took on a special meaning when it was shared with his sons and grandsons. Carl was preceded in death by his father, Fran Noell Nebhut, Sr., and by his mother, Willie Mabel Nebhut. He is survived by his beloved wife, Myra, of the Vici home; his eldest son, Melvin and daughter-in- law, Delva, both of Vici; his youngest son, Terry of Vici; two daughters and their husbands Janita and Bustter Gamble of Sharon and Sherri and Greg Boswell of Vici; by 13 grandchildren Amanda, Brandon, Misty, Cody, Justin, Dustin, Shawn, Brian, Brandi, Niki, Cory, Laci and Rahcel; by three great grandchildren Mary Jane, Victor, and Cason; by his brother and sister-in-law, Frank Jr. and Creola Nebhut; by a number of nieces and nephews; by other dear relatives and a host of friends.
