Funeral services were held Monday, March 2, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, Missouri, with burial following in Green Lawn Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Kathy was born December 3, 1959, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Ernest G. (Lefty) and Erma Stephens. She graduated from Hammon High School, Hammon, Oklahoma in 1978, and was a 27-year employee for Southwest Airlines as a flight attendant. Kathy never met a stranger and loved spending time with her family, gardening, decorating, golf, and college basketball. Kathy was preceded in death by her daughter Sharna Kate Norman and her father, Ernest G. (Lefty) Stephens. She is survived by her husband, Michael Norman, son Stephen Norman and daughter Amber Norman of the home. She is also survived by her mother mother, Erma Stephens; brother and sister-in-law Grant and Jamie Stephens and their children Andrew Stephens, Connie Stephens and Zachary Stephens, all of Overland Park, Kansas; mother-in-law and father-in-law Terry and Beverly Norman; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Terry and Deana Fleck and their children Andrew Fleck, Collin Fleck and Taylor Fleck all of Edmond, Oklahoma.
