Mary K. was born on August 3, 1912 to Lelia Conner Hall and W. Claude Hall in Weakly County, Tennessee. She graduated from Altus High School in 1929 and from Altus Junior College in 1931. She attended Hill's Business College in Oklahoma City until her marriage to William David Kirby, Jr., on December 24, 1933. To this union four children were born: Daivd, Nancy, Peggy and Sue. Her husband, David, died in 1964. In 1972 she married Jimmy Owings, who died in 1975. Mary K. was a member of the Sentinel Northeast Church of Christ for many years. She loved her church and enjoyed her fellowship with the members and the activities of her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, W. Claude and Lelia Hall; one sister, Geneva Hall Flinn; her first huaband, William David Kirby, Jr; her second husband, Jimmy Owings; and her son, William David Kirby III. She is survived by three daughters and their spouses; Nancy Kirby Cowan and Aubrey, Weatherford; Peggy Kirby Parker and Eugene of Sentinel; Sue Birby Carlson and Sheldon of Norman, daughter-in-law, Rogna Crane Kirby of Cheyenne; step-daughter Dixie Owings Griffith of Yankton, South Dakota and Lake Worth, Florida; and one brother and sister-in-law John and Gerry Hall of Brentwood, Tennessee. She is also survived by grandchildren: Dawn Kirbby Becker of Bulverde, Texas; Greg Cowan of Topeka, Kansas; Brad Cowan, Goodwell, Kansas; Melissa Cowan Heard of Clinton; Gene Parkers, of Duncan; Doug Parker of Bentonville, Arkansas; Brian Gambrell of Norman; Rochelle Gambrell, New Hope, Minnesotta; Walt Heinemannn of Pal Springs, Florida. Other survivors include 18 great grandchildren and numerous friends and relatives. Services were held Saturday February 10, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Northeast Church of Christ.
