He was born July 7, 1945 in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arl Pyeatt. Henry went to grade school at Three Corners and high school at Leedey public schools. On August 22, 1969 Henry married Ruth Harrell at Dawn, Texas. Two boys were born to this union Haskell Lester and Carl Wayne. The family lived in Shamrock, Texas, Canadian, Texas, Leedey, Oklahoma and Sweetwater, Oklahoma. He worked as a truck driver and enjoyed time with his sons and grandson. They were very important and special to him. Henry served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to June 1, 1970 and remained on standby reserve until August 2, 1971 and received the rank of First Class Private. Those preceding him in death were his parents, Arl and Nora Pyeatt, one brother, Johnny Pyeatt, one sister, Leona Eaton, two nephews, Gary Eaton and Denny Pyeatt and one niece, Brenda Touchstone. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Pyeatt of Reydon, Oklahoma, his sons, Les Pyeatt and wife Lindsey of Gans, Oklahoma and Carl Pyeatt of Elk City, Oklahoma; his grandson, Justin Chase Pyeatt of Gans, Oklahoma; three sisters, Virgie Cornett of Higgins, Texas, Jean Touchstone of Leedey, Oklahoma and Hazel Liles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 aunt, 5 nieces, 7 nephews, and other family and a host of friends. Graveside services were held on Monday, November 29, 2004 at the Red Star Cemetery south of Leedey, Roger Milkls County, Oklahoma. Services were conducted by Shaw Funeral Home of Leedey, Oklahoma.
