Painter, 89, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, in Denver City. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Magnolia Baptist Church at Crawford, Okla., with Dr. James E. DeWese, retired Baptist minister from Plainview, officiating. Burial will be in Silent Home Cemetery at Roll, Okla. Mrs. Painter was born in Crawford. She was a homemaker. She lived in Phillips from 1940 to 1967. She then moved to Tulia, where she was a member of First Baptist Church and was active with her Sunday school class. She married D.L. "Roy" Painter in 1932 at Crawford. He died in 1967. Survivors include a son, Bob Painter of Denver City; a daughter, Carol Painter of Pampa; two brothers, Altus Keahey of White Deer and Leon Keahey of Crawford; a sister, Audrey Rorabough of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
