He passed away June 6, 2003 in Sayre Memorial Hospital, Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years 2 months and 9 days. Wayne lived in Ringgold before moving to Pampa, Texas when he was 12. In 1948, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and returned to Pampa after his discharge in 1950. He traveled while doing auto body rpair and also drove a cab. It was whle he was driving a cab he met Nadine Harrison anfd they were married at Clovis, New Mexico on April 30, 1957. They lived in Texas and Oklahoma before mvoing to Reydon, Oklahoma in 1980 to make their home. Wayne was employed with Reydon School before opening an Auto Body Repair business in Reydon. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Services were held Monday, June 9, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Reydon Community Church, officiated by Rev. Alberta Helton and Rev. Margaret Friend. Burial was held at the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Susie Musick and husband, Thom of Reydon, Oklahoma, Deena Passmore and husband, Bobby of Sayre, Oklahoma; 3 sons, Roger Parr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Teddy Parr and wife, Melissa of Pampa, Texas, Chuck Parr of Sayre, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 1 sister, Juanita Reeves of Denton, texas; 2 brothers, Roy Parr of Pampa, Texas, and B.B. Reeves of Pampa, Texas; his stepfather, Bun Reeves of Pampa, Texas; host of relatives and friends.
