She passed away March 26, 2006 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the aged of 79 years 7 months and 12 days. Mae grew up working early in her life when she attended school at Square Top she would help fix lunch for the other c children. She was married to Christal LeRoy "Chris" Parks at Sayre, Oklahoma on June 3, 1944. They made their home for awhile in Clinton before moving to California where she cared for 2 nieces and a nephews, Jean, Kay and Flord, who she loved as her own. They returned to Cheyenne in 1959 and Mae began working at the hospital as a cook while working in homes helping others. Sher then worked for SWOA until she retired. In the last few years she was in the nursing home and always loved to have visitors. Mae loved children and her nieces and nephews were her great joy. At one time she had taken care of most them while spoiling them as her own children. A special niece, Teresa Morris, took care of Mae and helped with her needs. She was an active member of the Cheyenne First Baptist Chutrch where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, Emry, J.E. and Earl "Cub" Andrews, 2 sisters, Jo Derryberry, Kizzie Marlin and special sister-in-law. Survivors include two sisters, Faye Jantzen, Lawton, OK,and Dammie Morris, Cheyenne, OK; two brothers, Fred Andrews, Lawton , OK and Henry Andrews, Cheyenne, OK; and host of other relatives and friends. Interment in Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Rose Chapel, Cheyenne.
