Eddie Overstreet officiating. Burial was in the Union Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel of Cheyenne. Mrs. Parks died Sunday July 1, 1979 in Oklahoma City after a lengthy illness. She was born June 13, 1892 in Eastland County, Texas. Survivors are three daughters, Velva Postlewait of Lake Isabella, California; Johnnie Carpenter of Hammon; Nadia Martin of Plainview, Texas; six sons, Elzy Parks of Guthrie; William "Bill" Parks of Reydon; Henry L. Parks of Leveland, Texas; Byron Parks of Denver, Colorado; Dick Parks of Canyon City, Colorado; 35 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; one great great grandchildren; four sisters, Claras Veteto of Vernon, Texas; Mattie Foote of Duncan, Ariz., Edna Byler of Freona, Califonria and Leona Brothers of Happy, Texas.
