He was born and raised at Cheyenne, Oklahoma, the son of Larkin and Cynthia Prestridge. He moved to Deming, New Mexico, in 1933 and was affiliated with his dad and brothers in farming. He married Mamie Gentry and moved to San Joaquin Valley, California, and was an operating engineer. He is survived by his wife, Mamie, two daughters, Betty Delores Morse, of San Jose, California; Marcia Diana Porta, of Carson City, Nevada, a granddaughter, Pamlea Porta; three brothers, Homer Prestridge of Reno, Nevada, Herbert J. Prestridge and John L. Prestridge of Fresno, California; three sisters, Lois Miller of Fresno, California, Lola Gardner, Gila, New Mexico, Lillie Burton of Deming, New Mexico, his mother, Cynthi9a Prestridge of Fresno, California. A son preceded him in death. Services were held at Boise Funeral Home with burial in Clovis Cemetery, California, November 17, 1978. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
