Born in Iowa the oldest daughter of the late Richard A. and Charlotte Dickey of Reydon, Oklahoma, resided in Morocco, Indiana most of her life. She was a member of the D.U.B. church, D.U.V. and American Legion Auxiliary. She was married in 1908 to Arnet Purdy who died in 1942. Surviving are five sons, Floyd, Thomas, and Harold, all of Morocco, Indiana; Eldon of Indianapolis; and Delbert of Chicago, Illinois, Six daughters, Mrs. Blanch Way and Mrs Alice Warne both of Morocco; Mrs. Marvel Bassett of Hammond, Indiana; Mrs. Florence Teske, of Watseka, Illinois; Mrs. Wanda Shumaker of Renseiaer, and Mrs. Georgie Earl of Michigan City, Indiana; four sisters, Mrs. Ernest Zybeck of Briscoe, Texas, Mrs. Bee Burns, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Mrs. Bertha Turner, Pampa, Texas and Mrs. Edward Farney of Pasadena, Californis; six brothers, Clyde Dickey of Mobeetie, Texas; Glenn Dickey of Sacramento, California; Howard Dickey of Mayfield, Oklahoma; Alvin of Reydon, Oklahoma; Leston Dickey of Myrtle Point, Oregon and William dickey of Everett, Washington.
