Prettyman The funeral for Ophelia W. Prettyman will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Faith Tabernacle in Ashland. Pastor Curt Wine will officiate. Interment will follow at Phoenix Cemetery. Mrs. Prettyman, 87, of Ashland, died May 29, 2003, at Ashland Community Hospital. She was born Oct. 3, 1915, in Roger Mills County, Okla., to Emil and Mamie Peterson. On Aug. 31, 1932, in Loveland, Okla., she married A. Bob Prettyman, who died in 1978. She moved to Talent in 1936 and had lived in the Rogue Valley since that time. Mrs. Prettyman was a founding member of Faith Tabernacle in Ashland, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and her pets. Survivors include four daughters, Bobbie Jepsen, Eagle Point, Wanda Prettyman, Talent, Clarece Hemmitt, Sacramento, Calif., and Yvonne Henry, Sacramento; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers, and four sisters.
