He passed away July 13, 2009 at Sayre, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 14 days. Bud grew up in the New Liberty and Sayre communities graduating from Sayre High School in 1950. After graduation he furthered his education at Cameron University. Bud left college to enlist in the United States Air Force where he served in Korea during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge, he was married to Annrose McCormick Passmore at Pampa, Texas on June 11, 1955. After their marriage they lived in Dennison, Texas, Colbert, Oklahoma and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where Bud worked at Tinker Air Force Base before moving back to Sayre in 1976 to make their home. Bud enjoyed anything dealing with horses, ranching, water skiing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Clifford Leroy and Giles Dewitt. He is survived by his wife, Ann, of the home; 2 sons, Bobby Ward Passmore and wife, Deena, Sayre, Oklahoma; and Jamie Ward Passmore and wife Beverley, Sentinel, Oklahoma, 7 grandchildren, Bobby Passmore, Jr., and Carolyn Parr, and Dallas Passmore and Cheyenne Passmore, and Savannah Passmore, and Justin Haugen, and Jacan Cooper, 2 sisters, Alene Robertson, and Effie Ellen Hughes, and a host of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to a charity of your choice in Buddy Passmore's name. Prayer Vigil will be held Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Sayre Rose Chapel officiated by Deacon Mac McKaskle. Funeral services will be held July 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Sayre United Methodist Church officiated by Jimmy Dean. Burial will be at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
