The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ *********************************************************************** Obit for Phoebe Moseley Quattlebaum Phoebe Moseley was born on Februaary 16, 1862, in the state of Alabama and departed this life at Cheyenne, Oklahoma, November 15, 1954 at the age of 92 years, 8 months, and 29 days. She moved with her parents, while a young girl, to the state of Texas and grew to womanhood near Greeville, Texas. She was united in marriage to John W. Quattlebaum on September 3, 1889. They later moved to Oklahoma where she resided the rest of her life. To this union seven children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband and two children: a son, Erve Quattlebaum and a daughter, Ella Parker. The following survive to mourn her passing. Three sons, John Wade of Porterville, California; Elzie of Sunray, Texas and Elmo of Strong City, Oklahoma. Two daughters: Mrs. Magtgie Parker, Sunray, Texas; Mrs Blanche Cantrell, Moorewood, Oklahoma; also two step-children, 21 grandchildren and 53 great grandchildren. She was converted at the age of 30 and united with the Baptist Church of Orin, Texas. She often remarked to relatives and friends that she had no fear of death, and that a better home awaited her where trials and troubles are not known. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
