Flenner was born February 27, 1878 at Martinville, Illinoies, departhis life February 20, 1967. At the age of 88 years 11 months and 20 days. She attended school in Martinville and qualified as a teacher, here she met and married Henry E. Rupp September 19, 1898, to this union was born three children, Forest A. Rupp and Verna N. Sawin, one daughter passed away at eighteen months. They made their home in Martinville on a farm, until 1909 they moved to the Grimes community and lived until her passing. Her husband was in the real estate business until he retired because of his health. She accepted the Lord and was baptised at an early age, she was a member of the Methodist church, she had been unable to attend because of her health for a number of years. After the death of her husband she lived alone, with the help of her wonderful neighbors, especially Flora and Frrim Rasberry until her daughter, Verna, lost her husband and made her home with her mother the last two years of her life taking care of her, until she was admitted to the Hospital where she passed away early Monday morning. She was preceded in death by her husband on August 10, 1949, her parents, two sisters and one brother. She leaves to mourn her son Forest Rupp of Tucson, Arizona, one daughter, Verna M. Sawin of Cheyenne, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren and an older sister Annie Fry 93 yeaars of age of Weatherford, Oklahoma and one brother George Flenner, 91 years of age of Elk City; two sisters-in-law, Allie Flenner and Eliza Flenner and one brother-in-law Harve Macklin; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Rupp lost a limb when she was a young woman, but did her work as long as she was able to do so, she was troubled with her hearing for a number of years which kept her from going to church or doing other things in her later life.
