Robbins was born on April 23, 1922 in Coleman, Oklahoma to Jodie Ray and Etta Moorehead Robbins, and passed away on Monday, May 16, 2005 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He lived in Reydon, Oklahoma and Dumas, Texas. He then lived in Magazine, Arkansas beforfe returning to Oklahoma in 1975. He had resided in Tecumseh since 1977. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. On June 13, 1946 he married Carrie Barker in Dumas, Texas. He worked at the American Zinc Refinery in Dumas, Texas for many years. He was a member of the DAV. He was preceded in death by his wife on February 14, 1999. His parents; one son, Laverene Robbins; two step sons, Roy Wright and Marion Mabry; four sisters; and one brother. Survivors include one daughter Linda Edgar and husband John of Newalla; Nine Grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers James Robbins of Dumas, Texas and Bill Robbins of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters Mildred Baleaau of Chandler, Nona Smith of Arizona and Mazie Ann Seba of Lubbock, Texas.
