All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :: Surnames: Reese Originally posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/6804 During the storm Sunday night, July 2, 1906 lightning struck the residence of Thomas Reese, 1 and 1/2 miles northeast of Berlin, instantly killing his son, Wear and injuring the father severely, also another son was severely burned about the feet and lower limbs. The two boys were sleeping near a chimney upstairs. The one killed was next to the wall and was thrown over the other boy onto the floor some six feet from the bed. The father was sleeping in the lower part of the house. There were 8 people in the house at the time, all of whom were more or less shocked. Reese, was a good boy who made his home near Berlin for two or three years. He had 5 brothers and a mother whom he lived with near Berlin. He died.
